In conversation with abstract, multi-media artist and painter Khalid Thompson, join us in diving deeper into our current Gumenick Gallery exhibition, Spontaneous Combustion.
Renowned for his improvisational approach, Thompson transforms bursts of energy into vivid, striking works of art. His creative process, driven by rhythm, movement, and intuition, has earned him recognition across galleries and institutions all along the East Coast.
During this artist talk, Thompson will discuss the works featured in Spontaneous Combustion and share insights into his unique process of spontaneous creation. The event will culminate in a live painting demonstration, offering guests the chance to view his processes unfold in real time. A Q&A session with guests will follow this performance.
