Inspired by Wabi-Sabi, Terrell embraces the unpredictability of Raku firing, where surface, form, and process become a poetic ritual. In Terrell’s “Naked Raku” work, slips and glazes fall away to reveal smoke-drawn patterns, often contrasted with wood as a Zen-like focal point. Through these elements and water metaphors, Terrell’s work reflects transformation and a personal, spiritual connection to nature.
