The work in this exhibition narrates Belvins-Goad’s experiences in growing up as a queer person in Appalachia. The colors, textures, and subject matter are meant to transport the audience into nature, inviting them to recognize aspects from their own experiences in the forest as well as offering a glimpse of something new or unexpected.
