Opened to the public in 1999 through a unique public-private partnership with Henrico County, The Center operates within a beautifully restored historic school building that has been transformed into a 50,000+ square-foot multi-disciplinary arts facility.
Today, The Center welcomes up to 100,000 visitors annually through performances, art exhibitions, classes, outreach programs, and community events.

The Center partners with schools, libraries, senior communities, and organizations such as the Henrico Police Athletic League to bring arts programming directly to underserved populations.
The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with an annual operating budget of $1.7 million governed by a Board of Directors composed of business and community leaders from across the Richmond region.
